Atlanta Mayor Announces 14-day Stay at Home Order
Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms announced Monday night that she has signed 14-day stay at home order for all city residents except for essential services, essential activities, work or for government services.
DeKalb County CEO Issues State of Emergency Executive Order
DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond declared a state of emergency in DeKalb County and is effective until otherwise amended or revoked. Delivery of essential services such as safe drinkable water, garbage collection, waste management, police, fire and emergency services will continue through this period. Decatur Area Emergency Assistance Ministry (DEAM)
re-opened March 23th and will be distributing prepackaged bags at the door. DEAM provides emergency food and financial aid to those who meet eligibility requirements for residency, and can provide the necessary documentation. All DEAM services are provided at Holy Trinity, and all requests must be considered in person at the DEAM office between 9:00–11:30am, Mon, Tues, Thurs or Fri, except that Utility bill assistance is by appointment only.
